| If you tried to open the Newsletter and are receiving messages like "Error reading linearized hint data", you may need to adjust
settings on your Adobe Acrobat program. Most have a version of Adobe that ranges between version 5 and version 7. Listed below are the steps you take to adjust the program so you can then open the TSAA Newsletter. If you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5, do the following: Click on the Adobe Acrobat Reader Icon and open the program. Along the top, find and click on the "Edit" tab. A drop down box will appear and then scroll down the drop down box until you find the word "Preferences". Click "Preferences", and after doing so a large box should pop up. The box will be divided into two parts: a skinny part on the left and a larger part on the right. On the skinny left hand side of the box, look for the word "Options". Once you find it, highlight that word. After highlighting the word "Options", the larger right side of the box should change appearance. It will look like it is divided into thirds with particular headings for each section: "Web Browser Options", "Start Up", and "Miscellaneous". Look for the "Web Browser Options" section. There should be four boxes with checkmarks already in them. Uncheck the box that states, "Allow fast web view." Then click "OK" at the bottom of the box and close Adobe Acrobat. Once you reopen Internet Explorer (or your web browser of preference), you should be able to read the newsletter. If you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 6 or 7, do the following: Click on the Adobe Acrobat Reader Icon and open the program. Along the top, find and click on the "Edit" tab. A drop down box will appear and then scroll down the drop down box until you find the word "Preferences". Click "Preferences", and after doing so a large box should pop up. The box will be divided into two parts: a skinny part on the left and a larger part on the right. On the skinny left hand side of the box, look for the word "Internet". Once you find it, highlight that word. After highlighting the word "Internet", the larger right side of the box should change appearance. The divisions inside the box may be different from version 5, but again you are looking for a section that says "Web Browser Options". There should be four boxes with checkmarks already in them. Uncheck the box that states, "Allow fast web view." Then click "OK" at the bottom of the box and close Adobe Acrobat. Once you reopen Internet Explorer (or your web browser of preference), you should be able to read the newsletter. |
