Janet Lester

Janet Lester, professional artist and owner of Lakeside Art Studio in Ashland, Kentucky, is best known for her "Portraits with Personality". She works in all media and all subjects, such as: portraits of people and animals, homes, florals and well-known local sites. She has studied with renowned artists William Schultz, Irving Shapiro, Daniel Green and Kevin McPherson. Her commissioned work is mostly portraits, particularly of children. "I love people and am gratified when I can catch a likeness and a glimpse of the subject's personality." Her paintings are included in private and corporate collections across the country. She is an active member of local and regional art organizations, and is currently Artist in Residence at the Ashland Area Art Gallery.
