Margaret Greene-Jones
Margaret was born in Charleston, West Virginia and attended The University of Charleston before moving to Baltimore, Maryland where she resided until 2003. She attended John's Hopkins University, Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore Community College, Schuler School of Fine Art and Baltimore Museum of Art.

She studied with most of the prominent watercolor teachers and artists in America beginning with Edgar Whitney in 1978 and progressively with Robert Wood, Domenic DeStephano, Frank Webb, Frederic Schuler Briggs, William E. "Skip" Lawrence, Alex Powers, Carlton Plummer, Barbara Nechis, Janet Walsh, Judi Wagner, Judy Betts, Dong Kingman, Mel Stabin, Phil Metzger, Homer Hacker and Joe Mayer.

Margaret was president of Baltimore Watercolor Society for several years and served on the Board of Governors for 20 plus years in many capacities. She was Recording Secretary, Workshop Director, Membership Chairman and Exhibits Chairman.

Margaret holds memberships in the Maryland Art League, Art Gallery of Fells Point, Rehobeth Art League, Beckley Art Group, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, Charcoal Club of Baltimore, National League of American Pen Women, Life of Maryland Gallery, Maryland Federation of Art, Artist's Equity, Tri State Arts Association (Huntington, West Virginia), Renaissance Gallery, The Upstairs Gallery (Ashland, Kentucky).

Ms. Jones was a Charter Member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC and is a Founding Member of the Art Gallery of Fells Point in Baltimore, Maryland. Margaret's paintings are in public and corporate permanent collections, such as the Federal Reserve Bank in Baltimore, MD; Capitol Building, State of Maryland, Annapolis, MD; Towson University (Maryland); University of Charleston (West Virginia); City of Baltimore (City Hall); The Park School (a private girl's school); Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DE; and Paramount Film Studios for set decoration (Runaway Bride).

Private collectors all over the United States of America, Hawaii, Alaska, and in Europe from Scandinavia to Italy and also in Britain own Margaret's work.
